Frequently Asked Questions
Although Las Vegas tap water is considered safe, its total dissolved solids concentration is well above the national average. That high mineral content creates a distinct, sometimes off-putting taste. A properly installed purification system reduces those dissolved solids dramatically, producing water that tastes fresh and neutral, much closer to what you expect from premium bottled water.
The system works in a specific sequence: a sediment pre-filter removes particles and debris; a carbon pre-filter targets chlorine and organic matter; a high-rejection RO membrane strips away up to 99% of dissolved solids; a remineralization cartridge adds back beneficial minerals; an alkaline stage balances pH; and a final polishing filter ensures the water tastes its best in every glass.
The RO membrane does remove the vast majority of dissolved material, including naturally occurring minerals. That is precisely why our system incorporates a dedicated remineralization stage immediately after the membrane. This step reintroduces the beneficial minerals in balanced amounts, so the water tastes vibrant and spring-fresh rather than flat or hollow.
The system is installed under your kitchen sink and feeds a slender dedicated faucet mounted on your countertop or sink deck. A pressurized storage tank ensures purified water is ready on demand without waiting. You can also add an optional refrigerator line that supplies your ice maker and water dispenser with the same filtered water for crystal-clear ice cubes.
For the majority of Las Vegas-area households, a complete filter change once a year is sufficient to keep the system running at peak efficiency. Our technician will explain the specific maintenance schedule during installation so you know exactly what to expect and when to act.
